[ENG] [RJ01040351] Reijuu Buster

Kokyou is a small village on an undeveloped planet, and its best young warrior has grown up fighting the Spirit Beasts that roam nearby. Then creatures nobody has ever seen, the Grotesques, swarm out of nowhere and overrun the village. To save Setsuna, the girl he loves, he runs for the Spirit Shrine and draws the Spirit Sword, a blade with the spirit Drax sealed inside it. That power gets him noticed by Tina of the Third Elite Squad, a special unit that hunts calamity-class Spirit Beasts across the universe, and before long he is leaving his planet with Tina, Kei and Aoi.

Reijuu Buster is an RPG Maker MV game by 犬の卵焼き屋さん, released on 2023-04-13 as the first game in the Reijuu Buster series. You pick a mission from your base, clear its dungeon and defeat the boss, and you can head home partway through. Enemies are visible on the map, and touching one from behind gives you a surprise attack. With the Spirit Sword's Spirit Absorption you can capture spirits in battle, then summon them in later fights or use their powers on the field to light torches, burn away trees or lift you into the air. You also craft equipment from materials, bring ingredients home to Himari for meals that help on the next mission, and hunt the three hidden God Treasure Chests in every stage. Bosses change form, and some can be pushed into a defenceless chance state. Your bond with your companions and spirits grows as you play, there is a recollection room, and an optional easy mode makes battles quick for players who want to move faster.

This English patch translates the game's text: 8,115 entries covering dialogue and narration, choices, character, enemy and spirit names, items, skills, equipment and states, menus and system messages. The protagonist can still be named in English letters. The game has no spoken dialogue; its moans and sound effects are unchanged.
