About the Hero to Himitsu no Kagi English patch

The protagonist is a hero who cannot be beaten in a straight fight, and the Roselia Gang knows it. So they go after the source of his strength, his Hero Energy, with seduction instead.

Hero to Himitsu no Kagi is an adventure game by kikihatonosu (ききはとの巣), released in August 2025 and built in RPG Maker MZ. It has both teasing and sweet, affectionate scenes. It is not voiced.

The English patch comes two ways: an .htpatch file that you apply with HTPatcher, or a zip of already-patched game files that you can copy straight into the game folder. It also includes one translated image with on-screen text. The translation is complete. The English patch has been available since December 2025; in June 2026 it was updated for version 2 of the game and switched to the .htpatch plus patched-files format.

Troubleshooting

I'd rather not use a patcher

The Direct Download zip holds pre-patched game files for one game version. Extract it into the game folder and overwrite. If your version differs, the game may break, so HTPatcher is the safer option.

Uninstall: HTPatcher keeps a backup of the files it changes; restore it from HTPatcher, or reinstall the game files.

FAQ

What does the English patch translate?

+

The game's dialogue, menus and other in-game text are translated into English.

Which version of the game does the patch work with?

+

Patch v3 is made for version 2 of the game. If you have an older copy, update it before applying the patch.

Should I use the .htpatch or the patched files zip?

+

Either works. The .htpatch is applied with HTPatcher to your own copy of the game; the patched files zip is already translated and only needs to be copied into the game folder, overwriting the originals.

Are images translated?

+

The patch includes one translated image with on-screen text; the rest of the translation is in the game's text.

Does the patch zip need a password?

+

No. Patch v2 removed the password, so the current download extracts normally.
