Sou Koshimizu lives alone with his widowed mother, Sanae. He is much shorter than other boys his age and worries about it, so his gentle, easygoing mother offers to help him do stretches and exercises every day in the hope that he will grow. The trouble is that spending so much time up close with her leaves Sou flustered in ways he cannot hide.

How to install

Install the game normally from the disc. The game folder holds musu_mama5.exe, musumm5_sce.dat, musumm5_define.dat and a cg folder.

Back up the files the patch replaces: musumm5_sce.dat, musumm5_define.dat and, in the cg folder, the files with the same names as the ones in the patch.

Copy everything inside the patch's data folder into the game folder (the one holding musu_mama5.exe), keeping the cg subfolder, and overwrite when asked.

The hero's name still shows as 想

The game remembers the name in musumm5_system.dat from its first run. Enter the name again from the name setting in Config.

The game is still in Japanese

The files were copied into the wrong folder. They must replace the ones next to musu_mama5.exe, with the images inside its cg folder.

The game closes at startup

One of your files is from a different release or was changed by another patch. Restore your backups or reinstall, then copy the patch again.

Text shows as boxes or is missing

The game needs a Japanese TrueType font (MS Gothic). It is always present on Windows; under Wine or Proton, install one into the prefix.

Uninstall: Copy your backed-up files back over the patched ones.
