The patch is applied by a batch file that writes the English scripts into data.xp3. You need the game installed and running in Japanese, the EnglishPatch folder, and Python 3.

   Install Python 3

   Download the installer from python.org and tick Add python.exe to PATH on the first screen before clicking Install Now. Alternatively install it with winget from PowerShell, Terminal or Command Prompt. Close and reopen any terminal windows afterwards, then check that python --version or py -3 --version works.

   Prepare the patch folder

   Extract the whole EnglishPatch folder somewhere easy to reach, such as the desktop. Keep its contents together; it does not need to be inside the game folder.

   Close the game

   Fully quit the game if it is running.

   Run the patcher

   Double-click ApplyEnglishPatch.bat. It tries to find the game by itself. If it finds several installs, type the number of the one you want. If it finds none, paste the path to the game's exe or to the game folder and press Enter.

   Confirm and wait

   When it explains that it will make a backup and inject the translation, press any key, wait until it says Success, then close the window.

   Play

   Launch the game as usual and start a new game. Dialogue and choices should now be in English.

Uninstall: In the game folder, delete or rename the patched data.xp3, then copy data.xp3.bak back to data.xp3.
